In HTML5 the DOCTYPE declaration and character encoding declaration is very simple. There are new elements. There are new semantic elements. Also there are new form control attributes like number, date, time, and range. Additionally, HTML5 has new graphic and multimedia elements.
For example:
HTML5 is very different from HTML1.0 to HTML4.0. HTML1.0-4.0 were specifications for placing out text and images on a page. Later reviews included computerized classification and correlation of HTML documents. But HTML5 was something very different. It does not only lay out text and images but also it plays video and audio, graphics, stores information in applications, and deals with access to data.
For example:
- semantic elements: <header>, <footer>, <article>, and <section>.
- graphic elements: <svg> and <canvas>.
- multimedia elements: <audio> and <video>.
